Salvation Belongs to the Lord | Acts 16:6-15 | Manny Pereira
Paul’s second missionary journey commences. The opening scene is marked by an unusually dense concentration of divine agency. Attention is drawn to the sovereign leading and purposes of the Lord. Clearly, this mission belongs to Him and no other. It moves from closed roads to an opened heart. Sovereign grace, then, is seen not as cold machinery but purposeful mercy. This passage strips away every illusion that salvation finally depends upon the strategies of the messenger, the readiness of the hearer, or the accident of circumstance. Salvation belongs to the Lord.
