Premend Choy is currently serving the Lord in California with his family due to a heart attack that he suffered in early 2025. Prior to that, he invested many years in training church leaders through the College of Theology and Evangelism Fiji as president, and in shepherding believers as the teaching pastor of Lovu Bible Church in Lautoka. He will remain active in ministry in the US for the foreseeable future in order to monitor and maintain his health, though his heart still beats for the people of Fiji. In the Lord’s timing, he will return to continue equipping the saints and supporting national pastors in building a Bible-based Church in Fiji. He is a Fijian native who grew up in the Hindu faith. However, during his teenage years, he discovered the life-changing power of the Gospel through the Fiji Bible College ministry. In 2007, Premend and his family migrated to the United States. With the Lord’s guidance, he attended The Master’s Seminary in Southern California and received his Master of Divinity in 2012 and his Master of Theology in 2018. He is currently working towards his Ph.D. in Theological Studies at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
