This first of two sessions introduces the heart of cultivating character for Christ’s praise. Parents are encouraged to appreciate the mandate to cultivate character in their children. Parenting enters a new dimension in this lesson: moral reasoning and appeal to conscience. A distinction is drawn between behaviorism and character development, and the means is introduced.
