Sunday, May 3

As stewards of God’s words and works, it is with delight that we have the opportunity to gather as His people in worship by way of a reminder of the truth, power, and goodness of the sacred Scriptures. May we gather in His name and for His glory as we endeavor to make much of Christ through scripture, prayer, song, and the preaching of His Word. We look forward to gathering together this Lord’s day – For Christ, to God’s Glory, and Man’s Joy!

This Sunday’s Sermon

A Joyful Christian Life | Philippians 1:18–20 | Premend Choy

There are two types of Christian believers: those who marvel and those who are marveled at. True greatness in the Christian life comes when one is fully surrendered to Christ. Genuine greatness requires sacrificing everything. Apostle Paul’s resilient, joyful approach to ministry amid trials and hostility is exceptionally attractive. The church can derive substantial benefits today by adhering to his exemplary missionary motto. While it is easy to settle for a marginal life, every Christian must put the priorities of the gospel at the center of their prayer life. Resolving this vital shift in perspective can radically refine the church’s vision, spark renewed passion, and reinforce its mission.

The Lord's Table

Communion Sunday

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local church, baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe that the Lord’s Supper was instituted by Christ for commemoration of His death. We believe that the two ordinances should be observed and administered until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:41; 8:38-39; 1 Corinthians 11:23-32). All who are in Christ are invited to the table today.

Today’s Song Lyrics

Come, Christians Join to Sing

Verse 1

Come, Christians, join to sing,

Alleluia, Amen!

Loud praise to Christ our King,

Alleluia, Amen!

Let all, with heart and voice,

Before His throne rejoice;

Praise is His gracious choice,

Alleluia, Amen!

Verse 2

Come, lift your hearts on high,

Alleluia, Amen!

Let praises fill the sky,

Alleluia, Amen!

He who made all things well

Formed us His praise to tell;

Hear now the anthem swell,

Alleluia, Amen!

Verse 3

Sing this salvation song,

Alleluia, Amen!

Christ on the cross has won,

Alleluia, Amen!

Praise we the risen Lord;

Come, run through mercy’s door;

Loved, rescued, and restored,

Alleluia, Amen!

Verse 4

Lift high the Savior’s name,

Alleluia, Amen!

Till all the earth proclaims,

Alleluia, Amen!

Let now the gospel ring,

Christ for the world we sing;

The world to Christ we bring,

Alleluia, Amen!

All People that On Earth Do Dwell

Verse 1

All people that on earth do dwell,

Sing to the Lord with cheerful voice;

Him serve with fear, His praise forthtell;

Come ye before Him, and rejoice!

Rejoice

Verse 1

Rejoice in the Lord, now and always;

Sing it again we rejoice.

Delight in the love He has shown us,

Gratefully lift up your voice.

His gentleness among us

Will join our hearts with praise.

We gather in His goodness,

A family of grace.

(Chorus)

With each breath He’s given,

Praise the Lord

In these times we live in,

We will praise the Lord.

Throughout every season,

I am sure

We have every reason

To praise the Lord.

Verse 2

Rejoice and be anxious for nothing,

Praying for all that you need,

Come with a song of thanksgiving;

Lay your requests at His feet.

His peace will fall upon us

To guard our hearts and minds

In Christ, who reigns eternal,

The Shepherd of our lives.

(Repeat Chorus)

Verse 3

Rejoice in the Lord, now and always;

Tell of the good He has done.

Worship the Lord to remember

All of the joy yet to come.

The hope that burns within us

The dark cannot destroy.

With praise that’s never ending,

We say again, “Rejoice!”

(Repeat Chorus)

We Are Yours Forever

Verse 1

God, when You spoke into darkness

And said, “Let there be,” and it was,

You made us the crown of creation

To share in Your love.

And when we rejected Your goodness

To follow our foolish desire,

You knew that one day You’d redeem us

Through one sacrifice.

(Chorus)

Oh, what a love You have lavished on us

To call us Your children, daughters and sons;

One with the Savior, bought by His blood,

We are Yours forever.

Verse 2

By grace, You have made us Your family;

We’re kept in Your kindness and care;

With boldness we know we can bring You

Each burden we bear.

And though we are longing to see You,

Your Spirit within testifies

That we are adopted and treasured

Till faith becomes sight.

(Repeat Chorus)

(Bridge)

What now can separate us from

The hope you gave us?

We will be like Christ our King,

We are Yours forever.

(Chorus 2)

Oh, what a love You have lavished on us

To call us Your children, daughters and sons;

One with the Savior, bought by His blood,

We are Yours forever.

All of Our Tomorrows

Verse 1

This spinning world by Your own hand

Hurls ever on around the sun.

The seasons march at Your command;

The old departs, the new year comes.

And though celestial is Your gaze,

You search and care for all our ways;

We offer up to You this day

And all of our tomorrows.

Verse 2

May zealous youth and cautious age

Determine not the steps we choose;

Great Shepherd, guide us through each day,

Oh, how we want to follow You.

Come, Living Way, our way make clear;

Let perfect love drive out our fear;

Be Thou our vision, now and here

And all of our tomorrows.

Verse 3

When winter makes us reminisce

Of warmer days so distant now,

Of cherished saints the sun once kissed

Whose beauty passed behind the clouds,

Let all our fond and longing tears

Remind us we are pilgrims here;

We trust You, Sovereign of our years,

With all of our tomorrows.

Verse 4

Hands to the plow, we’re pressing on,

And running hard to win the prize,

Empowered by the love of God

With grace before and grace behind.

For lo, what hope before us stands:

You finish all that You began;

Eternal joy is in Your hands,

And all of our tomorrows.

Christ Is Mine Forevermore

Verse 1

Mine are days that God has numbered

I was made to walk with Him

Yet I look for worldly treasure

And forsake the King of kings

But mine is hope in my Redeemer

Though I fall, His love is sure

For Christ has paid for every failing

I am His forevermore

Verse 2

Mine are tears in times of sorrow

Darkness not yet understood

Through the valley I must travel

Where I see no earthly good

But mine is peace that flows from heaven

And the strength in times of need

I know my pain will not be wasted

Christ completes His work in me

Verse 3

Mine are days here as a stranger

Pilgrim on a narrow way

One with Christ I will encounter

Harm and hatred for His name

But mine is armor for this battle

Strong enough to last the war

And He has said He will deliver

Safely to the golden shore

(Refrain)

And mine are keys to Zion city

Where beside the King I walk

For there my heart has found its treasure

Christ is mine forevermore

(Bridge)

Come rejoice now, O my soul

For His love is my reward

Fear is gone and hope is sure

Christ is mine forevermore!
