Sunday, June 7
As stewards of God’s words and works, it is with delight that we have the opportunity to gather as His people in worship by way of a reminder of the truth, power, and goodness of the sacred Scriptures. May we gather in His name and for His glory as we endeavor to make much of Christ through scripture, prayer, song, and the preaching of His Word. We look forward to gathering together this Lord’s day – For Christ, to God’s Glory, and Man’s Joy!

This Sunday’s Sermon
Christ Our Advocate | 1 John 2:1-6 | Jeff Glass
Although Christians must continually acknowledge and confess sin, they are not powerless against it. Fulfilling the duty of confession does not give license to sin. Sin can and should be conquered by the power of the Holy Spirit. John, knowing his readers are all sinner saved by grace, encourages them by letting them know that should they sin, God has provided them an advocate in the Person of Jesus Christ, who is also the propitiation for all their sins. Obedience to His commandments, to His word, becomes the outward manifestation of the love of God, and fellowship with God and His Son Jesus Christ.
The Lord’s Table
Communion Sunday
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local church, baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe that the Lord’s Supper was instituted by Christ for commemoration of His death. We believe that the two ordinances should be observed and administered until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:41; 8:38-39; 1 Corinthians 11:23-32). All who are in Christ are invited to the table today.

Today’s Song Lyrics
Crown Him with Many Crowns
Verse 1
Crown Him with many crowns
The Lamb upon His throne
Hark how the
Heavenly anthem drowns
All music but its own
Awake my soul and sing
Of Him who died for Thee
And hail Him as thy matchless King
Through all eternity
Verse 2
Crown Him the Lord of love
Behold His hands and side
Those wounds yet visible above
In beauty glorified
No angel in the sky
Can fully bear that sight
But downward bends
His wondering eye
At mysteries so bright
Verse 3
Crown Him the Lord of life
Who triumphed over the grave
And rose victorious to the strife
For those He came to save
His glories now we sing
Who died and rose on high
Who died eternal life to bring
And lives that death may die
Verse 4
Crown Him the Lord of heav’n
Enthroned in worlds above
Crown Him the King to whom is giv’n
The wondrous name of love
Crown Him with many crowns
As thrones before Him fall
Crown Him, ye kings
With many crowns
For He is King of all!

He Is Worthy
Verse 1
Holy, holy is the Son of God
None can stand before His majesty
Beautiful beyond our highest thought
Worthy! He is worthy!
Verse 2
Holy, holy is the Word made flesh
King who bore our pain and poverty
Come to claim the rebel and the wretch
Worthy! He is worthy!
(Chorus)
All glory and honor, all power and praise
Be to Your Name, be to Your Name
For no one could rival Your glory and fame
We lift high the Name of Jesus
Verse 3
Holy, holy is the Lamb who died
Canceling our debt at Calvary
Rising from the grave to reign on high
Worthy! He is worthy!
(Tag)
Holy, holy, Lord Almighty
Worthy is Your Name
Holy, holy, none beside You
Greatly to be praised

His Mercy Is More
Verse 1
What love could remember
No wrongs we have done?
Omniscient, all knowing,
He counts not their sum.
Thrown into a sea without
Bottom or shore,
Our sins, they are many;
His mercy is more.
(Chorus)
Praise the Lord,
His mercy is more.
Stronger than darkness,
New every morn.
Our sins, they are many;
His mercy is more.
Verse 2
What patience would wait
As we constantly roam?
What Father, so tender,
Is calling us home?
He welcomes the weakest,
The vilest, the poor.
Our sins, they are many;
His mercy is more.
(Repeat Chorus)
Verse 3
What riches of kindness
He lavished on us.
His blood was the payment;
His life was the cost.
We stood ‘neath a debt
We could never afford.
Our sins, they are many;
His mercy is more.
(Repeat Chorus)

His Robes for Mine
Verse 1
His robes for mine: O wonderful exchange!
Clothed in my sin, Christ suffered ‘neath God’s rage.
Draped in His righteousness, I’m justified.
In Christ I live, for in my place He died.
Verse 2
His robes for mine: What cause have I for dread?
God’s daunting law Christ mastered in my stead.
Faultless I stand, with righteous works not mine,
Saved by my Lord’s vicarious death and life.
(Chorus)
I cling to Christ, and marvel at the cost:
Jesus forsaken, God estranged from God.
Bought by such love, my life is not my own;
My praise, my all, shall be for Christ alone.
Verse 3
His robes for mine: God’s justice is appeased.
Jesus is crushed, and thus the Father’s pleased.
Christ drank God’s wrath on sin, then cried, “’Tis done!”
Sin’s wage is paid; propitiation won.
Verse 4
His robes for mine: Such anguish none can know.
Christ, God’s beloved, condemned as though His foe.
He, as though I, accursed and left alone;
I, as though He, embraced and welcomed home!
(Repeat Chorus)

Before the Throne of God Above
Verse 1
Before the throne of God above
I have a strong, and perfect plea,
A great High Priest whose name is Love,
Who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on His hands.
My name is written on His heart.
I know that while in heaven He stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart.
Verse 2
When Satan tempts me to despair,
And tells me of the guilt within,
Upward I look and see Him there
Who made an end to all my sin.
Because the sinless Savior died,
My sinful soul is counted free.
For God, the Just, is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me.
Verse 3
Behold Him there! the risen Lamb,
My perfect, spotless Righteousness,
The great unchangeable I AM,
The King of glory and of grace!
One with Himself, I cannot die.
My soul is purchased by His blood.
My life is hid with Christ on high,
With Christ, my Savior and my God.
