A Christ-centered Family: Wives

Having addressed worship in God’s household, the Apostle now applies worship in our households. If the household of God, the church, is to be Christ-centered, then no less are the households represented in the church to be Christ-centered. If the Christian is to walk in worship to God in a life-inclusive manner, coram deo, then certainly this will be reflected in the privacy of his home life. This multi-part message takes a careful look at God’s precious building block of human society, calling forth its beauty with strokes of humility and love that make much of Christ in ordering themselves under God’s design and purposes. This first message introduces the importance of family in society and in the church. The church does not replace the family and the family does not replace the church. And then, in the first order of the text, wives are the first members of the family to be addressed.
